The outline of the talk. Events I used, predicted cross sections for pp
collisions and the scaling we adopted are all here.

ptofvenuselectronsnocut
The 2d plot of the transverse momentum of one electron of the pair vs the pt of
the other electron. J/Psi electrons at the top, venus background electrons at
the bottom. The line is pt1*pt2=1.72 GeV/c .

ptofelectronsnocut
SAme as above, but for FAKE electrons, i.e. misidentified pions.

ptofelectronswithcut
Same as above, but applying the pt1*pt2=1.72 cut.

pofelectrons
2d plot of the abs. momentum, to see where we are with respect to the dE/dx
capabilities of the tpc. The box is drawn at p=1.2 GeV for both sides. Outside
of the box is where we can expect good e/pi separation, so this illustrates that
dE/dx is crucial to get rid of this background, which most probably is the one
that can do the most damage.

realandfakemass
Invariant mass of electrons from J/Psi, and from the background of misidentified
pions.

superimposedmass
addition of the 2 previous histograms for 1/1000 e/pi and 1/10000 e/pi. These
assume perfect trigger and full luminosity.
