STAR Software and Physics Analysis Workshop

STAR Software and Physics Analysis Workshop
April 15-19, 1996, at LBNL

Agenda
(last revised: April 23, 1996)

If you are not listed in the agenda below,
but plan on attending part or all of this workshop, please:
send a mail to B. Llope or,
send a mail to L. Ray. Thanks.

Logistics:
All sessions of the workshop will be held in the Bldg. 50A room 1116 conference room (first floor).
This whole floor of 50A is the new home of the RNC group that used to be in Bldg. 50D.
You will find a map of the Bldg. 50 area of LBNL here,
which is under the RNC group home page.
For directions to LBNL look here.

For any logistical questions, please:
send a mail to D. Olson or,
send a mail to I. Sakrejda.

The SAS group will hold a week long workshop at EOLBNL the week of April 15 for the purpose of initiating new simulation and physics analysis software projects which are aimed at primary physics goals of STAR. During this week, the scope of the simulation and physics analysis software development projects for 1996 will be determined. The emphasis will be on identifying required physics analysis software and initiating work on these new software packages. It is intended that such software will form prototypes for the eventual physics analysis software that we will use to produce publishable versions of the data.

Also during this workshop we will initiate use of the new analysis framework MOAST. We will discuss and define the duties and responsibilities for the offline software production manager. Also, the SAS functional model design team will meet to work on the offline software design document.

If you'd like more information, please contact Bill Llope or Lanny Ray. This page will be updated as necessary, so check back occasionally.
